English is considered a Foreign Language in Thailand and has been an integral part of the Thai curriculum, spanning from primary to university levels. To further their education, Thai students are required to take English Proficiency Tests (EPT), such as TOEIC. Despite the emphasis placed on mastering English, many Thai learners continue to face challenges in acquiring proficiency and fluency in spoken English. While some studies have explored factors hindering English speaking among Thai EFL learners, there is a notable lack of research conducted in the Northeast region of Thailand. This study focuses on Roi Et, Selaphum, in the Northeast part of the country, with the aim of investigating the impact of incorporating vlogging as an innovative learning method into the classroom on student speaking ability. By utilizing interactive vlogging as a pedagogical tool, educators seek to enhance students' motivation and engagement in English language learning. The research methodology employed in this study involves a qualitative approach, with a sample size of 11 participants observed over an eight-week period. Through data analysis, six thematic areas emerged, shedding light on various aspects of students' speaking abilities. These thematic data points include: 1) Readiness to Speak English; 2) Thinking in English; 3) Fluency and Free Expression in English; 4) Confidence in Speaking English; 5) Overcoming Fear and Nervousness in English Speaking; and 6) Self-correction. http://proceedings.upi.edu/index.php/I-CONEMCIL/article/view/3818

Creativity and adaptation are the keys to the development of museums in Indonesia. The era of digitalization has brought many changes in various industries, including the museum industry. For young children, digitalization in museums can provide a more interactive and interesting learning experience. Digital visualization in early childhood has an important urgency in supporting their development. Modernization of museums for early childhood involves the use of technology and design approaches that appeal to children. It is important to ensure that this modernization retains the essence of education and hands-on experience in dealing with real artefacts and objects. In Indonesia, several museums have used digital visualization in presenting their collections, there are 5 museums that have implemented visual technology, including the MACAN Museum (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nusantara) - Jakarta, National Museum - Jakarta, Angkut Museum - Batu, Malang, the Geological Museum – Bandung and the Puppet Museum – Jakarta. This study aims to determine the implementation of digital visualization in the form of a hologram at the Banten State Museum in increasing child-friendly multicultural values. Through this system, visitors can view and listen to various information related to the history of Banten. The benefits of media through visualization are useful in attracting attention and fostering motivation to learn in alpha generation children who are sensitive to visual stimulation. So that researchers are interested in examining the extent to which the use of child-friendly digital visualization in increasing multicultural values. http://proceedings.upi.edu/index.php/I-CONEMCIL/article/view/3819

The limitation of information on Peperek fish (Leiognathus splendens) stock is one of the issues that needs to be addressed. Therefore, this research aims to estimate the stock of Peperek fish (Leiognathus splendens) landed at Nusantara Karangantu Fishing Port, Serang Banten, for the last ten years from 2010 to 2020 using a holistic approach. This holistic approach does not require many details from analytical models, such as age structure and fish length, but assumes that the stock is a homogeneous biomass. In this case, there are two simple methods: the swept area, which is the catch per unit area captured by the trawl, and the surplus production, which uses the catch per unit effort. Generally, the data is taken annually and comes from samples of commercial fishing. In this study, the surplus production model with two methods is used: the equilibrium state, such as the Schaefer (1954) and Fox (1970) models, and the non-equilibrium state, such as the Walter-Hilborn (1976) model. The result of this research is to find out how effective the selected method is in estimating Peperek fish (Leiognathus splendens) stock by producing the best R square value for each method. The results of this research will provide useful information for related parties to make appropriate policies for preserving the Peperek fish (Leiognathus splendens) stock.
Aji Prasetyo

http://proceedings.upi.edu/index.php/I-CONEMCIL/article/view/3820

Absorption of students at the SMK level is in fact still not leading to the appropriate field. The lack of human resources in marketing superior products in their schools proves that Serang City Vocational School 7 is not ready to compete in developing processed products in larger industries. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method through observation and interviews with related teachers in the field of fisheries in the application of technology as a learning support to be able to compete in the world of work. The results of the study show that there is still a lack of competency in the field of fisheries in empowering teachers and students to be able to compete in the field of fisheries. It can be concluded that in teaching and learning practice there are still obstacles in the implementation of education in terms of technology, especially internet allowances. The need for government and institutional action in encouraging teacher competence in the field of fisheries and balanced with the implementation of empowerment results to be applied in the school environment. In addition, supporting infrastructure must be provided to support field practice in the world of fisheries.
Alfian Yudha FebriansyahImtiyaz Nahairi Fazilatunnisa

http://proceedings.upi.edu/index.php/I-CONEMCIL/article/view/3821

Parenting styles are influential in implementing character education for children for the first time, one of which is religious tolerance between peers. The fact is that in the field, children still lack religious tolerance among peers. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the relationship between parenting given by parents to children with the formation of children's religious tolerance. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method, namely collecting data from a natural place using a data collection technique in the form of a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that parents have an important role in choosing and implementing good parenting in the formation of tolerance in children because tolerance is considered the most important or fundamental aspect that children must have in terms of the ability to socialize in society through a sense of volunteering to share, respect, help each other, forgive and love friends regardless of religion. Tolerance can be taught to children about living in harmony among friends regardless of religion. Recommendations that we can give to prospective parents and parents to be able to choose and apply a parenting style that can properly apply character values to children. In addition, it is necessary to be more active in expanding knowledge about parenting styles in the digital era to prevent things from happening that are not in accordance with the values in tolerance.
Andine Amelya Awalia FajriahFirda Khairun NisaNajwa Ananda HuriahSiti Annisa BurairohRoby Naufal Arzaqi

http://proceedings.upi.edu/index.php/I-CONEMCIL/article/view/3822

Gender equality is a situation where women and men are in the same status as to create basic rights and abilities in themselves for the establishment of all aspect of life. Vocational school (vocational school) has become topic of gender equality at an educational level. This journal is intended to describe and analyze the data for gender equality in SMK PGRI 2 CIBINONG. Studies have shown that despite positive development, gender equality remains a problem in SMK ward when it come to poll selection, such as girls and girls are more likely to opt for feminity, such as fashion, grammar, makeup, dance art. Meanwhile male students tend to choose engineering majors such as mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, mining engineering, oil engineering. It reflect the influence of culture and gender stereotypes on the election of the vocational program. There was little about gender among the high school students. Students should be given a better understanding of gender equality and the importance of choosing a subject based on future interest, talent, skills and career prospect. The methods used by researchers are qualitative observation and descriptive methods.
Ayu Dyah RahmawatiVidya Al AidasariHenny NurhidayantiAhmad SatibiYulda YuldaAyu Lestari

http://proceedings.upi.edu/index.php/I-CONEMCIL/article/view/3823

The Indonesian marine and fisheries sector is still under development, especially in the capture fisheries sector. Capture fisheries are one of the alternative livelihoods of fishermen. However, the development of marine and fisheries is still not accompanied by an understanding of sustainability, as a result of which the existing potential is utilized excessively and continuously without regard to sustainability. Fishermen who depend on marine products depend heavily on uncertainty due to various factors. One of the factors that can affect the catch is the economy and climate. Both aspects need to be a serious focus for local governments in making decisions that ease the burden on fishermen. One of the directions that researchers are aiming for is to identify production factors that affect fish catches by knowing in advance the types of superior fish in PPN Karangantu using Location Quotien (LQ). The research methods used in research are quantitative and qualitative approaches, with research flows, namely: problem identification, literature study, data collection (interviews, observations and literature studies), data processing (Location Quotien (LQ), Decision Support System (DSS) with the Analysis Hierarchy Processes (AHP) method), AHP consistency test and report generation. The method used is to identify factors that affect the catch of superior fish processed with a Decision Support System (DSS) or Decision Support System (SPK) in which there is an Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. It is known that the leading types of fish in PPN Karangantu can be based on the calculation of the highest LQ value by ranking are Peperek, Gulamah, Squid, Tembang, Teri, Red Snapper and Mullet. Production factors that affect the superior fish catch in PPN Karangantu there are seven criteria including capital, ships, labor, season, selling price, market demand and quantity, then of the seven production factors the most influential is the krteria of capital at sea.
Baeti Nurabdillah

http://proceedings.upi.edu/index.php/I-CONEMCIL/article/view/3829

Sea transportation is a means of transportation that is in great demand by various groups of people in Indonesia. This is, of course, inseparable from the geography of this country, which consists of various islands and is dominated by the ocean, which makes sea transportation quite effective. The port itself is a supporting infrastructure in the process of sea transportation flows and is an important node in the circulation of goods as well as passengers (humans). In its service, the port certainly has basic and supporting facilities. The passenger terminal is one of the facilities with various activities regarding the arrival and departure of ships. The circulation that occurs in the flow of embarkation and disembarkation activities at ports is an important component that must be planned properly and clearly so that the impact that will be felt later is good, smooth, and orderly port services. Therefore, aspects of circulation and facilities at the port passenger terminal that function as support for passenger circulation must be able to fully support it and be efficient and effective. If the opposite happens, then it is not impossible that there will be irregularities that cause inconvenience to the passengers. Thus, changing the flow of passenger circulation is one way to overcome it, as is being pursued by the Port of Tanjung Priok. This study aims to determine the causes of changes to the flow of passenger circulation at Tanjung Priok Port and to measure passenger satisfaction with the port passenger terminal facilities as a support for the flow process. The research method used is descriptive analysis with a qualitative quantitative approach through direct observation, interviews, and questionnaires with passengers and related people at Tanjung Priok Port.
Fikri Muhammad MauluddinArkan Nurzahran Cika Arini PramestiNurdewi FebriyaniMitha IphigeniaRizki Lailani Shabrina

http://proceedings.upi.edu/index.php/I-CONEMCIL/article/view/3851

This research is motivated by the lack of ability of students in writing news. The purpose of this study is to describe the ability to write news students before and after using the model of learning concept sentence, increase or not after using the models of learning concept sentence, and the differences using the model of learning concept sentence. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental method, using pretest and posttest design. Sources of data in this study were 36 students of SDN 1 Baleendah Class V Academic Year 2022/2023. Techniques used are test techniques, while the instrument is a writing test news. The results of this study are (1) the ability to write news using the model concept sentence up the value of (52,4); (2) the ability to write news after using the concept sentence learning model on average to get the value of (81,1); (3) there is an increase in the ability to write news after using concept sentence model, from (52,4) to (81,1), and (4) there is a difference between the writing ability of news before and after using the Concept Sentence model. Based on statistical tests of significance values (Sig-2 tailed), namely (0,000 < 0,05) or less than 0,05. Which means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. This shows that the model of concept sentence learning can improve students' writing ability of SDN 1 Baleendah Class V Academic Year 2022/2023.
Susilawati SusilawatiFarid Rizqi MaulanaNenden SundariIta Rustiati Ridwan Widjojoko Widjojoko

http://proceedings.upi.edu/index.php/I-CONEMCIL/article/view/3850

This article reviews the development of cold chain management research through a bibliometric approach. Full comprehension of the management of the cold chain in Indonesia is especially important because Indonesia is one of the countries where two-thirds of it is an ocean area. In Indonesia's sea, there are many fishery resources with high export value. On the other hand, Indonesia's territory is so vast, making shipping from island to island will take quite a long time. This will have an impact on product quality if the management of the cold chain is not considered, especially for products that are easily damaged by changes in temperature. The freshness and safety of the product when it is received by the consumer can be maximized with the existence of cold chain management. The article data was retrieved from the Google Scholar database using the Publish-or-Perish Reference Manager application. The data results were obtained in the form of article mapping data per theme that the researcher has determined. Furthermore, the mapping data is processed using computational mapping analysis, namely VOSviewer. To facilitate the process of searching for articles, researchers must determine the terms to be studied first. The term used in the search using this publish or perish application is “Cold Chain Management” which resulted in 272 articles deemed relevant for the last 10 years (2012 to 2022). After doing research, the title "cold chain management" can be separated into 3 terms: management, cold chain, and cold chain management. The analysis shows that the term “cold chain management” is associated with 83 links, with an overall link strength of 128. Over the last decade, it is known that there have been ups and downs in the number of research publications on cold chain management. From 2012-2014 publications of the article moved horizontally and experienced a slight increase in 2015 to 27 journal publications. In 2016 the number of published journals decreased to 23 articles. On the other hand, from 2017 to 2018, the number of publications increased quite a lot to 37 articles. However, from 2019 to 2022 the number of publication was declined, and there were only 6 journals published in 2022. After this study, hopefully, there will be more research on cold chain management.
Syifa Fajar MaulaniRubby Rahman TsaniMelia HandayaniWafa Nurul Hakim

2024-11-282024-11-2811347361Effectiveness Of Project-Based Learning Models in 11th Grade Biology Subject At SMAN 3 Serang City
http://proceedings.upi.edu/index.php/I-CONEMCIL/article/view/3848

The purpose of conducting this research is to determine the effectiveness of the collaboration of various learning methods, one of which is the application of Project Based Learning (PjBL) methods at SMAN 3 Kota Serang. This research was conducted on May 5 2023 at SMA Negeri 3 Kota Serang involving 2 grade 11 students and 1 biology teacher who taught biology in grade 11. This research used a qualitative method because it only stated what happened in real and natural terms. The qualitative approach prioritizes the observation of the phenomenon under study. The data collection technique used in this study is the technique of collecting interviews and documentation during observation. Observations were carried out by interviewing the resource person, namely the Biology Teacher at SMAN 3 SERANG CITY and also some students who were teaching biology subjects. Data analysis and processing was carried out using qualitative methods, where researchers conducted interviews, asked questions related to the topic. The research results from this observation show that currently SMA Negeri 3 is Implementing Project Based Learning (PjBL). Some of the projects that have been completed by SMA Negeri 3 students are projects to paint parts of organs on material on human organ systems. Apart from painting the organs, the project that has been completed is learning through the Canva application. In its application, it indirectly involves students' ideas and creativity so that they can convey their learning through art. The application of biology learning combined with art has proven effective, because students can better understand the material so that the demands of the learning process are met. The learning model and the existence of collaboration that makes learning not monotonous is a must for a teacher to be able to understand the characteristics and abilities of students. Then there are several problems/obstacles that are felt by students, namely the lack of learning time is the biggest obstacle. In SMA Negeri 3 there are often various events outside of learning that require students to participate, so the biology lesson schedule is abolished. Furthermore, they experience obstacles to learning resources. They are facilitated by the school, namely textbooks that are loaned, but in reality the information is often incomplete so that we are forced to look for other sources which are sometimes difficult for us to get.
Zaniar Kahfi SyairaSalmah HidayaniLaksana Dewa PutraAhmad SatibiYulda YuldaNovita Novita
