NILAI BUDAYA CERITA RAKYAT PUTRI GADING CEMPAKA DALAM PEMANFAATAN SEBAGAI MEDIA AJAR BIPA
Abstract
Legends are folk prose stories that are considered by the author as stories that have happened. Legends are secular or mundane, occurring in the past and happening in the world today (Danandjaja, 1994). BIPA teaching aims to introduce Indonesian culture to students. In order for BIPA students to adjust to native speakers of Indonesian, they must understand cultural values. This study aims to explain how cultural values are used in the legend of Rawa Pening as BIPA teaching materials. The data used in this study are cultural values contained in the folklore of Putri Gading Cempaka. Qualitative descriptive study (Creswell, 2010: 4). Data collection was done through observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation study. This study focuses on foreign students who learn BIPA for academic purposes and as a textbook.
