Pengaruh Jumlah Elektroda Sensor Kapasitif terhadap Sensitivitas Pengukuran Kadar Air Tanah
Abstract
Design, manufacture and characterization of sensitivity of capacitive sensors have been carried out. Sensitivity of the sensor is an important parameter that must be considered in the measurement. The amount of sensitivity is determined based on the comparison of the output signal to the capacitive sensor input. The capacitive sensor input in question is the soil water content. This study focuses on the effect of the number of capacitive sensor electrodes on the sensitivity of measuring soil water content. The research phase begins with the design of capacitive sensors with variations in the number of electrodes, then the capacitive sensor layout is printed in the PCB. Next, prepare soil samples with measured water content. Testing is done by measuring the sensor capacitance value for each variation in water content and number of electrodes. The periodic number of electrodes varied were N = 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300. The results of testing the sensitivity of the capacitive sensors for the periodic number of electrodes N = 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300 each showed 2.023pF/%; 3.773 pF/%; 5.154 pF/%; 5.768 pF/%; 6.112 pF /%; 6.341pF /% moisture content.
