The development of teaching materials is the process of designing, creating, and implementing learning materials or resources used in the educational process. This study aims to explore local wisdom in the development of teaching materials for persuasive speaking skills by applying a project-based learning model (Project-Based Learning, PjBL). Specifically, this study explores the concept of applying local wisdom texts both orally, in writing, and multimodally using the PjBL model to improve students' persuasive speaking skills. The research method used is SLR (Systemic Literature Review). Data were obtained through searching the Google Scholar and Publish or Perish applications. 25 related articles were collected, using 6 stages: 1) Formulating problems and mapping searches, 2) comprehensive searches, 3) quality assessment, 4) data extraction, 5) synthesis, 6) writing search results, in articles that use the PjBL model with a project to improve persuasive speaking skills based on local wisdom. The results of the study indicate that the PjBL model as a structural framework for developing teaching materials can be a medium to improve students' persuasive speaking skills. The application of local wisdom-based texts in persuasive speaking increases self-confidence and motivation to learn, a sense of pride and closeness to one's own cultural values and the ability to work collaboratively in learning. These findings are expected to be an inspiration in the development of contextual, innovative and relevant teaching materials to real-world challenges.
