The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including education. In the realm of Indonesian language and literature education, digital media has begun to be utilized as an innovative and adaptive learning tool to meet the needs of today's digital generation. Poetry appreciation is a particularly demanding area. This study aims to utilize digital media as a learning innovation to strengthen poetry appreciation for students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (PBSI) at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu. The study employed a qualitative approach with descriptive analytical methods. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation and documentation of the digital media-based poetry appreciation learning process. The digital media used in this study included YouTube and an interactive poetry reader application. The results showed that the use of digital media had a positive impact on increasing understanding, emotional engagement, and creativity in poetry appreciation. Students felt more enthusiastic, motivated, and able to express their interpretations of poetry more freely through digital formats. Digital media allows students to combine visuals and audio, making the appreciation experience more complete and meaningful. This study found that the integration of digital media in poetry appreciation learning requires technical training and strengthening digital literacy for both lecturers and students. Thus, it can be concluded that digital media is an effective innovation in strengthening poetry appreciation in higher education environments, especially the PBSI Study Program, FKIP UM Bengkulu.
