Hybrid Humanistic Digital Leadership Driving Teacher Innovation Culture in Islamic Boarding Schools
Keywords:
Digital leadership, Teacher innovation culture, Hybrid humanistic, Psychological safety, Islamic educationAbstract
The rapid development of digital technology and the complexity of educational challenges demand the presence of a contemporary leadership model that is adaptive, collaborative, and oriented towards human values. Academic institutions are required to develop leadership practices that not only integrate digital technology but also foster a culture of innovation and inclusivity among teachers. This study aims to analyze digital, transformational, and inclusive leadership practices for building a culture of innovation among teachers in Islamic boarding school-based secondary schools. This study employs a qualitative case study design conducted at SMA IT Darul Qur'an in Bogor Regency. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with school leaders and teachers, as well as through analysis of documentation related to digital-based school management practices. The results show that digital leadership plays a significant role in driving teacher innovation by strengthening a collaborative culture, integrating digital technology into management and learning, and fostering a sense of psychological security that encourages innovation. These findings confirm that effective contemporary leadership in modern Islamic boarding schools is hybrid, combining humanistic values, religious principles, and digital competencies in a sustainable manner.
