Author Guidelines

The I-CONEMCIL Proceeding publishes selected scholarly papers presented at the International Conference on Education in Primary and Early Childhood, Marine, Computer Information and Logistics (I-CONEMCIL) organized by Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Serang Regional Campus.

Please note that manuscripts published in this proceeding are not submitted through an online submission system. All papers included in the proceeding are derived from conference presentations and collected through the official conference committee and editorial process.

1. Eligibility of Manuscripts

Only manuscripts that meet the following criteria will be considered for publication:

• Presented in I-CONEMCIL conference sessions (oral presentation/poster, as assigned).

• Registered and confirmed by the conference committee.

• Completed required revisions (if any) based on reviewer/editor comments.

• Submitted as final manuscript (camera-ready paper) within the deadline determined by the committee.

2. Focus and Scope

Manuscripts should align with the conference themes and scope, including but not limited to:

• Primary and Early Childhood Education

• Special Education

• STEAM and Curriculum Development

• Community-based Learning

• Multimedia and Digital Literacy

• Marine Science, Fisheries, and Maritime Heritage

• Marine/Maritime Information Systems

• Maritime Logistics and related issues

3. Manuscript Structure

Authors are encouraged to follow a standard scientific structure:

2. Author(s) Name(s) and Affiliation(s)

3. Abstract and Keywords

4. Introduction

5. Method

6. Results and Discussion

7. Conclusion

8. Acknowledgements (optional)

9. References

4. Formatting and Technical Requirements

• Manuscript must be prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).

• Paper length: 6–10 pages (including tables, figures, and references).

• Recommended language: English (Indonesian is acceptable for certain sessions, based on committee policy).

• Use clear academic writing and consistent terminology.

• Figures/tables must be numbered and provided with captions.

5. Citation and Bibliographic Standards

Authors must use consistent citation and reference formatting. The proceeding recommends using APA Style (7th edition).

In-text citation examples (APA 7):

• Single author: (Rahman, 2022)

• Two authors: (Putra & Sari, 2021)

• Three or more authors: (Maulana et al., 2020)

Reference list examples (APA 7):

• Journal article:
  Maulana, F. R., & Arifin, W. A. (2021). Title of the article. Journal Name, 5(2), 120–130.

• Book:
  Creswell, J. W. (2018). Research design: Qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods approaches (5th ed.). SAGE Publications.

• Conference paper:

Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero.

6. Review and Editorial Process

All manuscripts undergo an editorial and review process, which may include:

• format checking,

• similarity screening (if applicable),

• peer-review / editorial review,

• revision and final acceptance.

The editorial team reserves the right to make minor edits (layout and language) without altering the substance of the work.

7. Manuscript Submission Procedure

Manuscripts are collected only through the I-CONEMCIL conference committee. Authors are not required to create an account or submit through an online journal/proceeding system. All communication regarding paper submission, revision, and publication is conducted officially by the committee.
